It looks as though Winifred may have been sent packing because the Chandler Mansion is about to get a new maid. The show has cast a young actress in the role, and it seems to be a safe bet that there's more than meets the eye about the new character.
20-year-old Mariah Buzolin joins the show this month as Maya. The maid will first share scenes with Colby, but later have ties to two of Pine Valley's most prominent residents.
Buzolin, a native of Brazil, is new to daytime television, but not to dramatic acting. She's previously appeared on Lie to Me and Zoey 101. She's also made an appearance in the feature film Hotel For Dogs.
Cheryl Hulteen, who appeared on All My Children as Winifred for many years, was not relocated to the West Coast because she was not a contract player.
Buzolin first airs on March 30, though she was originally scheduled to debut on March 15. The role is recurring.
