Debbi Morgan brought countless tears to fans with her beautiful, longtime portrayal of iconic All My Children character Angie Hubbard. And now the talented actress has her sights set on bringing laughs instead.
Deadline reports that Morgan has joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix comedySextuplets, which stars Marlon Wayans as Alan, a man embarking on a personal journey to meet his birth mother before the arrival of his first child. When Alan meets his brother Russell, he discovers that he was born a sextuplet and decides to seek out his four other siblings (all played by Wayans). Together, the two brothers set out on a road trip to track down the rest of the family that they've never known, and Alan quickly realizes he may have gotten more than he bargained for.
Details surrounding Morgan's character have yet to be released, but no matter what, the New York native will be in good company. In addition to Wayans, her costars on the project include Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live), Michael Ian Black (Wet Hot American Summer), and Glynn Turman (Super 8).
Morgan took to Twitter with a behind-the-scenes photo of her and Turman, writing: "On set down here in hot Atlanta with my dear friend and oh so talented, Glynn Turman!"

Debbi Morgan has a rich history in daytime, beginning with her role as All My Children's Angie Hubbard, which she originally played from 1982 to 1990. In 1989, Morgan became the first African American to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Following her first stint on AMC, Morgan went on to play the role of Chantal Marshall on NBC's Generations, her AMC role Angie on both Loving and The City, and Dr. Ellen Burgess on Port Charles. Morgan returned to All My Children in January 2008 and played the character on the ABC version until 2011 and on Prospect Park's version in 2013. She also played the role of Yolanda "Harmony" Hamilton on The Young and the Restless.
Sextuplets is scheduled to be released on Netflix in 2019.
