The new year has gotten off to a tragic start for The Bold and the Beautiful's Daniel McVicar. The actor's 22-year-old son, Hank, was killed in an automobile accident on January 3.

Image Award-winning actress Tonya Lee Williams will see her character travel from Genoa City to Los Angeles as part of a B&B-Y&R crossover storyline this February. Williams' character will be revealed as the cousin of B&B's Justin.

A Martinez will make a brief appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful in February. The actor was hired to play the role of a doctor who figures prominently into the show's Sweeps storylines. Martinez has appeared on General Hospital, One Life to Live, and Santa Barbara.

Kyle Lowder and The Bold and the Beautiful will be going their own ways. Lowder was recently informed that the show is unable to generate story for his on-screen alter ego. Lowder joined B&B in 2007.

The street performer known as the Naked Cowboy, is up in arms over a recent episode of The Bold and the Beautiful that he alleges infringed upon his registered trademark. In a lawsuit filed in New York, the Naked Cowboy is asked for $1.5 million in damages.

The Bold and the Beautiful is about to unveil new opening credits, complete with hi-tech bells and whistles and a new theme song. This is only the third different opening sequence in the show's history.

Emmy winner Sarah Brown has been bumped to recurring status on The Bold and the Beautiful. Fans speculated the actress was no longer on contract when the actress did not appear in the show's new opening credits. Brown first aired on B&B in November 2009.

Antonio Sabáto, Jr. forever known for his work as General Hospital's Jagger -- and for appearing in Calvin Klein underwear -- is a new dad. The actor welcomed his third child on May 1. Sabáto appeared on B&B from 2005 to 2006.

Viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful will soon seen less of Emmy winner Rick Hearst. The actor will be taken off-contact next month. Hearst has also appeared on Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Guiding Light, and The Young and the Restless.

Three-time Emmy winner Sarah Brown will join the cast of Days of our Lives later this year. The actress has appeared previously on As the World Turns, General Hospital, and The Bold and the Beautiful. Brown was taken off contract with B&B earlier this year.

Jack Wagner and his former Melrose Place co-star, Heather Locklear, are engaged, a publicist confirms. Wagner first appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2003.

Emmy winner Jacob Young will return to The Bold and the Beautiful after he wraps his run on ABC's All My Children. Young has opted not to continue with AMC for its move to the Internet. Young appeared previously on B&B from 1997 through 1999.
